The story is ok
I found the pacing a bit off. The concept of the story is great! But it moved a bit too fast I think to really develop the relationships/characters. There is so much potential there, but I was left not really caring about the characters, couldn’t distinguish between the male characters in the RH, the sister story line seems important, but it wasn’t developed much. You get a lot from Eve, but a lot ends up info dumped versus developing naturally through character and relationship development.

The story is okay but I’m here for the spice! Lol
The story is okay nothing great but not horrible, I’m not ashamed to say I’m just loving the spice!
I’m not into police shows or books so all the cop & work issues just bore me, the fae world is also very disappointing but obviously she will one day take over and change things for the better there.

Great plot. Narration 50/50
This was a really good book. This is only book one and I think because it’s the same writer and the same narrators it’ll be much the same again. Both narrators were very good. But the female narrator was way better than the mail.
I only have one thing more or less that I’m really disgusted about. And it’s not just in this book it’s an other fantasy books that I have read where there is a female heroin in it. The thing is love female heroines, you can never have enough, the only problem with it is why are they writing them as if they are really stupid. Why does every female think she can handle whatever comes comes her way when she has supernaturals that lived their whole life as supernaturals. Why can’t the heroines listen to the ones who know what they’re talking about. I get that some of us women are stubborn. But every single book that I listen to that same thing happens. Do they not know of another suspense to put in the book other than a female getting into trouble because she doesn’t listen to the ones who actually know what they’re talking about.
OK enough of my ranting I feel better now. But seriously book one was very good and like I said I would predict that the next set of books in the series will be just as good I’ll let you know how the next one turns out.
