Story
An estimated five million Americans suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and live diminished lives in which they are compelled to obsess about something or to repeat a similar task over and over. Traditionally OCD has been treated with Prozac or similar drugs. The problem with medication, aside from its cost, is that 30 percent of people treated don't respond to it, and when the pills stop, the symptoms invariably return.

Great introduction
This book has a very good description of some brain functions that occur with OCD and also gives basic strategies within the stories and chapters that build on the content. It would have been better if it included some more in-depth strategies.

Great book to help with OCD
This is a great book to help you manage OCD. The first chapters are quite technical to explain the details of how your brain works. The later chapters explain techniques to control and manage OCD. The last two chapters were particularly helpful to me.
