Poor job

I had searched for a book on Russian history and picked this one as the best (frankly, Audible's choice is slim!). Based on reviews that I had read, I did expect kind of a whirlwind through the great long history of this nation, but COME ON! The course just blew through decades and millennia. However what I disliked the most was the presenter. At first I thought I was not recognizing the names of the historical people or cities. No.. The reader was simply misspelling them so badly they were unrecognizable. Ok, I understand some of the longer Russian names might be difficult for an English speaker to pronounce (although, hey, how about a little prep and training?), but calling the capital of Latvia "Ryga" rather than Riga? Felt like my 12yo daughter was reading the book for the first time, pronouncing the names whichever way she was feeling, not caring if it's right or wrong. Poor, poor, poor. Had much higher expectations. I did listen to the end, but will definitely be looking for a different book on the same subject.
