good

Picked this up for 7.50 during an Audible sale. Worth it. I wasn't sure what to expect (I haven't read a lot of Linwood Barclay) but it ended up being a solid thriller. Grimly contemplative, its themes of loss and grief felt authentic. The elements of institutional corruption and brutality are just as relevant today as when it was written. The mystery kept me guessing and the solution was surprising but didn't come out of nowhere, which I appreciate.

Excellent narration!

I really enjoyed this book, and especially loved the narration! His inflection and pace was perfect, and the hint of old school detective vibe was just right ; not overdone.
I look forward to searching more Linwood Barclay books and narrations by Mark Zeisler!

Predictable.

The narrator was very good...the story was okay but the plot twists were not surprising.

Never would have guessed the ending!

Not the most exciting book I’ve ever listened to but there were enough twists to keep me coming back. The end was a total surprise to me and I appreciated that.

Good story line, suspenseful

Slow start at first, then the suspense picks up to where it was hard to stop. Good story line.
