A wonder!!

An extremely well done audiobook. I'm a huge fan of Guy Gavriel Kay's and this performance was brilliant. Great voice and tone. Highly recommended. My only criticism is that the female voices are almost always whispered and hard to hear.

Another great book by Guy Gavriel Kay.

This is the second half of Guy Gavriel Kay's fantasy retelling of the Byzantine life and times of the Emporer Jusinian and Theodora his Empress, following a brilliant and angry mosaics called Crispin. It's a good story with really good characters and it brings this time to life. I really enjoyed listening to this audio book.

Half world magic and the City of cities

I’d recommend this to anyone fascinated by the fall of the west & what was left. How this city and it’s characteristics survived, evolved, & held sway for 700 more years. Exotic food, ancient Celtic gods, east-west heal arts, hippodromes, and brilliant rules couples. Not to mention mosaics and fringe characters.
