Artificial intelligence is smarter than humans. It can process information at lightning speed and remain focused on specific tasks without distraction. AI can see into the future, predicting outcomes and even use sensors to see around physical and virtual corners. So why does Intelligence frequently get it so wrong? The answer is us. Humans design the algorithms that define the way that AI works and the processed information reflects an imperfect world.

Mo Gawdat is an engineer. What most of us see as insurmountable problems he sees as systems overloads to tackle and solve. Unstressable breaks stress into inputs and effects, classifying human stressors as: stress to the mind, stress to emotions, stress to the body, and stress to the soul. Once classified, Gawdat and co-author Alice Law show listeners how stress can be predicted—and once predicted, prevented.

As an 18-year-old, black, broke, lonely, insecure, university drop-out, from a bankrupt family, I wrote in my diary that I wanted to be a 'Happy Sexy Millionaire' by the age of 25. By 25 I was a multi-millionaire having created a business worth over $300m dollars. Ironically, in achieving everything I set out to, I learnt that I was wrong about almost everything... The world had lied to me. It lied to me about how you attain fulfilment, love and success, why those things matter, and what those words actually mean.

Through his pioneering scientific research, Tim Spector has been shocked to discover how little good evidence there is for many of our most deep-rooted ideas about food. In a series of short, myth-busting chapters, Spoon-Fed reveals why almost everything we’ve been told about food is wrong. Spector explores the scandalous lack of good science behind many medical and government food recommendations and how the food industry holds sway over these policies and our choices.

Description
Mo Gawdat is a remarkable thinker and the Chief Business Officer at Google's [X], an elite team of engineers that comprise Google's futuristic "dream factory." Applying his superior skills of logic and problem solving to the issue of happiness, he proposes an algorithm based on an understanding of how the brain takes in and processes joy and sadness. Then he solves for happy.
In 2001 Mo Gawdat realized that despite his incredible success, he was desperately unhappy. A lifelong learner, he attacked the problem as an engineer would: examining all the provable facts and scrupulously applying logic. Eventually, his countless hours of research and science proved successful, and he discovered the equation for permanent happiness.
Thirteen years later, Mo's algorithm would be put to the ultimate test. After the sudden death of his son, Ali, Mo and his family turned to his equation—and it saved them from despair. In dealing with the horrible loss, Mo found his mission: he would pull off the type of "moonshot" goal that he and his colleagues were always aiming for—he would share his equation with the world and help as many people as possible become happier.
In Solve for Happy Mo questions some of the most fundamental aspects of our existence, shares the underlying reasons for suffering, and plots out a step-by-step process for achieving lifelong happiness and enduring contentment. He shows us how to view life through a clear lens, teaching us how to dispel the illusions that cloud our thinking; overcome the brain's blind spots; and embrace five ultimate truths.
No matter what obstacles we face, what burdens we bear, what trials we've experienced, we can all be content with our present situation and optimistic about the future.

The best version of truth that I ever heard
Most of the concepts shared by Mo are backed by research and personal experience. He's sharing a very strong life philosophy that's worth listening to. There is lots of gold in this book, I wish all people have this information.

Fantastic book!!
I really needed this book. Perfect timing. Very insightful. love Mo's unique take on things and how he tied a lot of his personal stories and knowledge to explain certain things. I could also relate a lot to the way his logical and interdeciplinary approach to problems/questions. Especially when they are not easy questions, literally life and death dilemmas!!

I have given this book to everyone I care about
A book like this comes along so very rarely. It will be one which teachers, spiritual and intellectual, will use for many decades to come. I am taking my Master degree in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy and have been teaching Conscious Awareness in and out the classroom for 40 years. I am now 72. I am highly recommending that my clients and students read this book. Thank you Mo you are one in a billion.💕

A user's guide to your thoughts
This is the best book I've "read" about identity, awareness, and thought. This book about happiness from a man who lost his son provides thought provoking context. Mo combines his own experience with stories and a bit of science to explain how to find balance in our emotions and how we interact with others and the world at large. It leaves out the spiritual mumbo jumbo that most books on the topic focus on and presents practical theories to implement. #Audible1
