Publisher's Summary

Carol Denman divorced her husband over 20 years ago and has never looked back. But on the day before their daughter's 30th birthday, John barges back into Carol's life with a request that threatens the fragile stability she has built.

John Bowman is sick. Very sick. While he still can, he has some amends to make and some promises to fulfill. But to do that, he not only needs his ex-wife's agreement...he needs her.

With the past hovering between them like a ghost, Carol and John embark on a decades-overdue road trip. Together they plunge back into a life without water...but which may ultimately set them free.

Repetitive

Kudos to anyone who writes a novel and publishes however I found this book repetitive and predictable with far too many ‘I’m sorry’ in the narrative.

Story good narration not great

Enjoyed the healing powers of forgiveness message. Narrator often times sounded like an automated program

terrible narration

I returned the book after really trying to give it a good try. The narration was annoying and like a robot with a terrible attempt at a male voice.

Couldn’t listen to this book the narrator was so terrible. I will read the book from the library - too bad, the story reviews are good then you have a terrible narrator

Robotic narration, could not finish

The narration is terrible. Robotic and stumbling. I tried to slug it out but the storyline wasn't worth it. All the hype about this book was nonsense. it's just an overwrought Harlequin.

Highly unlikely

Did not like the narrator voice. Sounded forced and non emotional. Highly unlikely all would be forgiven
