Publisher's Summary

Dark Psychology is an introductory audiobook to the study of the dark side of psychology which presents, in a broad and updated way, theoretical approaches, areas of knowledge, and main characteristics of the profession and analysis of everyday subjects.

This audiobook will help in the discussion of the subjects and in the learning of psychology and what is happiness. The audiobook covers topics such as:

  • The principles of psychology
  • Persuasion
  • Empathy
  • Manipulation
  • Brainwashing
  • Hypnosis
  • And so much more

Research in social psychology shows an incredible density and diversity of experiences carried out in the street, in stores, and also in ordinary organizational contexts. They show that our behaviors are not always under our control, and sometimes, we act without knowledge. Research also shows that we are manipulated daily by influencing factors and they lead us to do something that we would never have done spontaneously. Moreover, these manipulation techniques are often so innocuous and used so naturally that we do not imagine that anyone can use them to influence others. This audiobook will allow you to see that you have already used some of these manipulation techniques to influence others.

This audiobook aims to take stock of these psychosocial techniques that influence our behavior. Throughout this audiobook, we will try to present the experiences that highlight the ease with which we can be manipulated. Much of this research has been conducted across the world. I hope, for my part, that this audiobook will allow you to understand how the influence and the manipulation in your daily life affect you. You will see that these influence techniques are strongly linked to the progress of democratic societies.

Overall good basic information

If this is the first time you've heard of tactics, narcissism, psychopathy, mind games etc. it is really informative! A good overview or a refresher if you've done your research.
