Publisher's Summary

When Julius overthrew his mother and took control of his clan, he thought he was doing right by everyone. But sharing power isn't part of any proper dragon's vocabulary, and with one seat still open on the new ruling council, all of Heartstriker is ready to do whatever it takes to get their claws on it, including killing the Nice Dragon who got them into this mess in the first place.

To keep his clan together and his skin intact, Julius is going to have to find a way to make his bloodthirsty siblings play fair. But there's more going on in Heartstriker Mountain than politics. Every family has its secrets, but the skeletons in Bethesda's closet are dragon sized, and with Algonquin's war looming over them all, breaking his clan wide open might just be the only hope Julius has of saving it.

A Must Read

A talented writer and a master of voices to tell the tale makes this series a cut above the others.

Fantastic as usual

Great story, wonderful performance.

Not quite up to normal audio/editing standards - there were a few jarring mistakes like “Lake Street Clair”. Easy to enjoy nevertheless!

Wonderful Read

I love this whole series! So many plot twists, especially with this book in particular. Vikas Adam does a great job bringing all the characters to life and the story and plot itself keep you wanting more.

Best book of the series so far!

The first two books were good, but I found this one even better plotwise (albeit could have with slightly less preaching). I didn't even realize how much I've grown attached to the characters until the last few chapters of the book. Can't wait to start the next one!

Just crying at work, no big deal

This one starts out SO deceiving, and then it just rolls into a GIANT ball of events that end where you lease expect it. Oh, and the epilogue? You’ll want some Kleenex on hand.
