Story
In his third book, Tantric philosopher and Oxford scholar Dr. Christopher Wallis calls out the seemingly helpful spiritual platitudes dominating our current culture and demonstrates how these "near-truths" can stand in the way of a more radically free and meaningful life—and ultimately, a deeper spiritual awakening. Rooted in the Asian wisdom traditions, Wallis’s book uncovers why these oft-heard clichés are “near enemies of the truth" that can distract us from real spirituality, and can even cause unnecessary suffering.

"Don't think that awakening is the end," teaches Adyashanti. "Awakening is the end of seeking, the end of the seeker, but it is the beginning of a life lived from your true nature."

"So many of us hold a deep belief that we were born unworthy," reflects Adyashanti, "inadequate, unlovable, and alone." But what if, in truth, we weren't put here to pay penance, change our karma, or "fix" ourselves? What if we chose to be here because we so loved the world that we poured ourselves into it - to make it whole again, to restore "the hidden divinity amid the disaster"? With Healing the Core Wound of Unworthiness, we're invited to entertain that possibility.

Story
One thousand years ago in the valley of Kashmir, a great Tantric master named Ksemaraja wrote his masterpiece: the Pratyabhijna-hrdaya, which means "The Essence of the Recognition Philosophy" - recognition, that is, of oneself as a direct expression of the universal divine Consciousness. Recognition also that this Consciousness is, in truth, all that exists, and that its five fundamental powers of awareness, enjoyment, willing, knowing, and acting are the sacred endowments of every sentient being.

Story
We've been taught that awakening is difficult, teaches Adyashanti, and that to wake up from the illusion of separation takes years. But all it really takes is a willingness to look into the depths of our experience here and now. In this refreshing "non-meditation" session, Adyashanti invites you to let go of all techniques, even the concept of yourself as a meditator, and just let everything be as it is.

Now i know that i can meditate with this direction
I love everything about this author, he is a breath of fresh air. However this book on meditation is much needed if you want/can allow transformation through letting go of what is and control /my will. No longer a rigid way to meditate but meditation as a tool to explore a more wholistic perspective with the deep power of a spiritual enquiry. I just love this freeing body - mind connection and not just emptying the mind but a pure listening of you and the pure awareness.

A helpful book for new or old meditators
I really appreciated the confidence that Adyashanti brings to his writing about meditation. I can tell he writes from his own experience and he keeps the discussion as simple as possible. He does not put down other view points traditions, but provides examples that augmented his perspective and you end up understanding more about meditation and really want to try to incorporate more meditation in your day. #Audible1
