About this listen
An all-new production of the phenomenal best seller, now featuring exclusive new conversations with the authors!
For more than two decades, legendary trainer Tim Grover has taken the greats - Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, and hundreds of relentless competitors in sports, business, and every walk of life - and made them greater. Now, for the first time ever, he reveals what it takes to achieve total mental and physical dominance, showing you how to be relentless and achieve whatever you desire.
Direct, blunt, and brutally honest, Grover breaks down what it takes to be unstoppable: you keep going when everyone else is giving up, you thrive under pressure, you never let your emotions make you weak. In “The Relentless 13”, he details the essential traits shared by the most intense competitors and achievers in sports, business, and all walks of life. Relentless shows you how to trust your instincts and get in the Zone; how to control and adapt to any situation; how to find your opponent’s weakness and attack.
Grover gives you the same advice he gives his world-class clients - “don’t think” - and shows you that anything is possible. Packed with previously untold stories and unparalleled insight into the psyches of the most successful and accomplished athletes of our time, Relentless shows you how even the best get better...and how you can too.

You know who your competitors are. You keep tabs on them regularly, and can list them calmly, along with their strengths and weaknesses. But your enemies are a whole other matter. They’re the haters and the doubters who said you’d never make it, the ones who stomped on your dreams. When you think about your enemies, you get emotional. You feel like you won’t let anything—or anyone—stop you.

Story
In this eye-opening account, Cal Newport debunks the long-held belief that "follow your passion" is good advice. Not only is the cliché flawed - preexisting passions are rare and have little to do with how most people end up loving their work - but it can also be dangerous, leading to anxiety and chronic job hopping. After making his case against passion, Newport sets out on a quest to discover the reality of how people end up loving what they do.

Interesting stories. Not much learned.
It was neat to hear a description of what I am. Nice to get insight on high performing NBA guys (I know zero about sports - so I only recognized MJ and Dwayne wade bc of some top 40 song). Didn’t get insight on how I could improve other than hustle — which is a given. All readers were easy to listen to. Helped entertain me while working on a plane.

Done. Next.
Great book, not for everyone. Only for people who want to be better and always work hard to achieve that. It talked about the killer mentality of MJ and Kobe and what it took for them to be great. Definitely recommend it to anyone who is trying to take it to the next level and become the best at what they do.

Only winners will understand this book
This was recommended by my new best friend Frankie Ortega and man am I glad he did.
I had been a fan of Mochael Jordan for 30 years, and there have been many reports, documentaries, articles, and many things to assess how MJ did what he had done in his career. This book has given this man great insights into what it took to be Mike, the Cleaner.
Tim explains that winning is not about just about having the higher score over your opponents but the intricacies that leads up to it.
Discipline and obedience to those who have a plan to win and deliver on the plan. It takes focus on the goal, one goal.
Get reading Relentless and find out for you and you alone what it will take to get your goal. Then start applying.
