À propos de cet audio
Devon Murphy has never believed that there were fairies at the bottom of the garden, but when he's in an accident on his way to his grandmother's house and comes face to face with the biggest, baddest wolf he's ever seen, he's forced to reconsider. When his grandmother asks him to look into a string of suspicious accidents, he finds a much bigger mystery to unravel. From his childhood best friend to the too-attractive deputy Wade Hunter, everyone in Rowan Harbor seems to have something to hide. Devon has to get to the bottom of it all before the accidents turn deadly. Contains mature themes.

This book feels like it was a first novel or written by a younger person who couldn't fully organize their thoughts or ideas so the building of the story and plot felt immaturish and made it an unsatisfying read/listen.
3+ hours ...it took over 3 hours before the ML figured out that the town was filled with supernaturals and that he was one of them. Even when he does, we find out very little about him as fae, his family, or what powers they possess. His grandmother has been living in the town for over 100 years, yet, she provides the little information we do find out but provides no true guidance. It felt like the author ran out of ideas or they couldn't figure out how to make the grandmother into a nurturing, knowledgeable adult so they chose an easy out, where she doesn't know much herself.
Another reason why I thought this was either a first novel or a very young person, is the desire to make it all right, for the culprit to not get reprimanded and for everyone to live HEA. This feel good, all is right mantra continues with the fact that the fae powers we find out about apparently cannot affect most towns folk. huh? and the spicy scenes were so tame and lame it was more like fumbling though than anything sultry.
The "intrigue" in this book wasn't intriguing. I think the entire listen I had a furrow between my brows wondering what I was actually listening to and where the story was going. Oh yes, it was going towards us figuring out why the school teacher seems to have accidents that look more like attempted assassinations. I should have known the culprit was going to make me roll my eyes, when everyone, including the teacher herself showed no fear and kept brushing the incidents off as accidents and I wasn't wrong.
The narrator. Oh boy, it was bad. From chapter one I pushed through hoping that the story would balance it out but when the story turned out to be just as bad, then it became, "lets get as close to the end as possible".
Needs lots of re-writing. erase and replace.
