I am a writer, a nurse and a mother. I've had over thirty plus years working as a psychiatric nurse.My most satisfying job was that of nurse manager for a children's psychiatric unit. I enjoy writing and have written a 'how to' book about providing more humane psychiatric care to children. I have also written a memoir. But this YA fiction novel was by far the most fun. It's 'my baby' as I have created this from scratch using only my imagination. It started with an idea, then an outline, then the first chapters. After that, the book began leading me and guiding me through the story. Frankie and his friends took on a life of their own.That was very exciting and a little scary. I became very attached to Frankie and his friends and I hope you do also. I would love your reader's perspective and feedback.
