5.0 out of 5 starsAnother amazing read by Chevy

I have loved all of Chevy Stevens books, but this one hit different. With all that is going on with the MMIW in Canada and the sex trafficking that takes place around the world, I thought I would be a hard read. At times it was, but for the most part it was a beautiful story about relationships and how far we go for the ones we love.
I have read all of her books and love them all. This story is so well written. I live in British Columbia where this book is set, and Chevy describes it in such detail that I can picture what she is describing. A great thriller with an explosive ending!
4.0 out of 5 starsGood book to read but had one flaw

I was a bit annoyed when I received my new book. It came bent in the middle. Tried placing heavy object over it for days but still unable to flatten it. Most of the time it comes in a box but this time it came packaged in a plastic bag! Please note.
This author has an amazing talent at keeping the reader engaged and on their toes. Her plot twists and ability to surprise you as you are reading is quite impressive. I have read most of her books and there is not one I wouldn't recommend. I also really value that she is from British Columbia and writes the stories within BC. This book especially highlighting some of the horrible missing person cases this province experiences. If you are looking for an engaging, hard to put down read, then pick this up!
I have learned to expect the unexpected from Chevy and to never jump to conclusions about who done it. There are many twists and turns in this story and at times I was, no don't leave me hanging. I think this is my new favorite.
This is the first Chevy Stevens book I've read and it won't be the last. Nail biting suspense and a terrific finalè. I did guess who the murderer was but the lead up was full of twists and in no way was it ever obvious
