When you are asked to be a fake girlfriend for a hunky hockey brother's wedding, what can go wrong? Mira has you seeing Harlow & Wade falling for eachother over the ten days they spend together getting ready for his brother's wedding. Harlow knows nothing about hockey or the hunk that she agreed to spend ten days with. See what happens when you drink too much. She needs a break from life because her's is rotten right now. Wade needs someone to be his for 10 days but no strings attached. Well that doesn't work out at all. He fools everyone but he's falling hard for Harlow. The story is sweet and has your heart feeling all warm and fuzzy. The plot of strangers to lovers is well written. The sexual tension gradually increases as the book goes on.
Wow this book had me hooked after the first chapter. I absolutely loved Wade and Harlow. Both are not looking for a relationship, Wade needs a fake date and Harlow needs some fun and to get away. These two had it all. The chemistry between them was sizzling and the witty banter they shared was fun. Wade is my dream guy. He had such a big heart, he is sweet, he is sexy and honestly, he is such a romantic. Harlow is a driven woman who really wants to succeed. Together they are opposite but also so right for each other. Pick up this book. It will make you smile; make you laugh and even make you swoon. Be warned you will not be able to put it down. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

I could not put this book down.
I loved it! It is a fantastic addition to the Slayers series. Wade might be my new favorite Slayer. He is not only a hot hockey player, but he has a huge heart. Harlow is all about work, all the time, but after being passed over for a promotion, her friend convinces her to go out where she meets Wade, who needs a fake girlfriend for 10 days. Harlow has 2 weeks off work, and volunteers. It works perfect, until they start developing feelings for each other.
This is a fantastic must read series and this book will not disappoint.

Whar an excellent read. Talk about fake girlfriend to lovers! Unbelievably hot and sexy. Amazing series with amazing characters. You will fall in love with Harlowe and Wade. Can't wait for the next instalment of Slayers Hockey.
I loved Wade and Harlow! Wade has a problem! He is in desperate need of a date for his brothers upcoming wedding back in his home town. He keeps asking all his team meets if they have a sister that would help him out, which doesn't go down well! When he's out with his teammates one night he bumps into banker Harlow, who is at a bit of a cross roads in her life herself. She over hears Wade talking and before you know she is volunteering to be his fake date, I mean it's only for 10 days! But how quickly things can change in 10 days.
Wade and Harlow were both fantastic characters! Their banter was so good and their chemistry was just......HOT!
5.0 out of 5 starsOne Slayers book is just never enough.

I absolutely devoured this book so quickly. I love the premise of the fake relationship turned real.. Wade is the ultimate dirty talking good guy, and seeing Harlow coming to life was so satisfying. This book was a really satisfying good read, without too much intense drama to throw it off course. It was just perfect. Love love loved it. Also loved the extended epilogue from Miras newsletter. Cannot wait for Axels book. September can’t come soon enough!
My favourite couple dynamic so far in this series. Harlow is a boss! However, there does seem to be a running theme with these characters in this series leaving out a somewhat big and impactful part of their lives/past that is really jeopardising their current relationship. To me, this one seemed like it could have been sorted out YEARS before this book even began. I understand that then, of course, the story wouldn’t exist but the situation Wade left his family exposed to and even though he insisted he tried to “turn her down” I just felt like he really needed to stop trying to do it nicely and just sort it out. Regardless - I think their dynamic was really strong and the character development of Harlow was the stand out part!
I found the book rather boring. I am sitting here on my chair now utterly unimpressed and still waiting for the big falling out. The one I know and love from romance novels, (well actually from all books 😉), the one where they brake each other’s hearts in a blink of an eye due to some bullshit misunderstanding even so there are perfect for each other and then come to peace with the fact that despite all there issues, their love is the only thing can’t sacrifices..
But in this case …. A whole lot of nothing. Yeah, they agree it’s just a week and yeah, there are a few half hearted attempts on her side to break things off after, but that’s it. Everything stays kinda shallow. Two people meet by chance fall in love and stay that way, any problems they have are purely scratching the surface and are put to rest rather uneventful (the thing with her father & her brother, her ‘revenge’ by going on a trip with a hockey player, their careerdriveness, his wanne be girlfriend, ….). Nothing ever poses an actual threat to the relationship. Even the real “climax” is kinda lame cause it is crammend in the last two chapters and everybody makes it sound overly melodramatic, even so that it shouldn’t shake a relationship in the first place, since it is neither Wades nor Harlows fault. Additionally, I did not feel the chemistry. Harlow is nice & all, but kind off just gets swept up in all of that, she does not take the initiative nor does she show interest in anything he does and is except for his loving family. He is way to considerate and perfect and the only one driving the whole relationship boat and as more as I read about it the lesser I understood it. There is really not much that she brings to the table. At least in my opinion.
Well I will give the series another shot, since I like the author, I hope the next book I grab will fell better 😉
