5.0 out of 5 starsSweet slow burn holiday romance

I love this book. I read til 4am as I couldn’t put this book down - and I didn’t want it to end. It’s a beautiful written romance. I loved the character development. It is on my holiday reading list now for all future Christmases. I can’t wait to read more from this author!
I loved this romance. It’s always magical when reading about friendship growing into love over time. Hannah is such a strong character. She comes through a harsh relationship and divorce with her daughter as her anchor and slowly cones to terms with how much Caroline really means to her.
5.0 out of 5 starsCouldn't put it down....another sleepless night

The notification bell went off that there was a new book available....by this author and I knew it would be another sleepless night. The characters are so well written and the storyline draws you in completely. Most HEA storyline have me skimming through the pages, but not one by Haley Cass. Her style of writing grabs you, draws you in and before you know it, the sun in rising but your heart is content. Can not wait for another one!!!
This book was amazing and I loved it so much! A perfect slowburn of emotion and steamy, it's exactly the kind of book that I love to read. I got lost in this story and read it in less then a day! Would highly recommend.

I was in the minority of ppl who didn't like this author's first book, I admit. But the summery for this one sparked my curiosity and I don't like to give up on authors based on one book so I said why not and bought "when you least expect it". And oh boy do I have no regrets whatsoever. It was such a cute story with amazing characters and, what I loved the most about it, there wasn't any overblown drama that so many romance books rely on to create a conflict late in the book. Caroline and Hannah both had issues and they both stumbled but it was a realistic progression of a relationship. A good editor is still required but the mistakes didn't get in the way of me enjoying the story that much.

This was the first book I've read from this author and I must say, I felt this was the perfect example of a curl up by the fireside with a hot cuppa kinda read. The story was lovely and I felt the characters were well thought out and you did really feel the chemistry between both of them. Caroline and Hannah are both very likeable people and you find yourself willing them to make the step forward together. The book kept good pace and I was sad to finish it as I could have easily have read on and read. Certainly one to add to your reading list.

What a wonderful and pleasant book. The storyline and characters really capture you. You feel there anxieties and feelings right through this book. Even the settings of Xmas, thanksgiving and meetings of the family etc you are right there,a really good page turner from beginning to end.
