I actually think I want to give this a 3.5. I did enjoy reading it, but it's the first book I've read in ages that I actually found easy to put down - I actually went to bed last night at 95% -not something I would normally do.
I'll try to summerise without giving too much away:
The story is about 33 year old Grace who is living with her fiend Holly in LA. Holly manages up and coming 24 year old Brit actor, Jack who's next movie is going to make him a huge star and everyone wants a piece of him. Jack and Grace meet at a party Holly is having launching her new management company. They have quite a bit of banter, but Jack, being 24 can't possibly be interested in a 33 year old can he?, and even if he was could it work? As they become closer Grace gets offered a job she has auditioned for before she met Jack - lead role in a new musical on Broadway, it's great to launch her career - but what about Jack?
I really loved Grace, there was only one moment that I wanted to slap her, but it was short lived and actually it was to do with her insecurities surrounding her age and why a 24 year old would be interested. I can totally understand this so her outburst is completely forgivable.
I loved the banter between Grace and Jack and even Grace and Holly. A few times I was quitely sniggering to myself, but not out and out laughing.
So what was my problem - why only 3.5 stars? Well I just felt that it was missing something, it didn't have me rushing to finish it to see what happens. That being said once you do get to the end you definately want to read the second book and I feel this one will have more punch. I can see some angst coming and perhaps without this "sweet" first book setting it up it won't have had as much impact.
Really enjoyed this One nitpick- the author says Jack had been on set in the West End in London He would have been onstage given it is the theatre district ! There are a few things that she had him saying ,that as a Brit,he would not say! But that aside, this is a fun read Just as good as Wallbanger ! PS Am now reading this for the 3rd time, months later, and it really does get better each time My favourite trilogy in this genre ,along with Crossfire , and it also introduced me to a great song- Into the Mystic - didn't know that existed before reading this
5.0 out of 5 starsMy favourite kind of book - brilliant!

I read Wallbanger by Alice Clayton not so long ago and loved it, so I thought I'd give this one a try too. Boy am I glad I did! This book is absolutely full of outrageous flirty banter and contained many LOL moments. The characters are really gorgeous and funny too. There isn't really much of a storyline; it's just about Jack and Grace who get together despite their age difference and how their relationship builds from a bit of witty banter at a party to something very much more. It's funny, sexy (VERY in parts!), sweet and romantic. If you like this style of writing, I'm sure you'll love this book. I was absolutely gutted when it ended, but then immediately delighted when my trusty Kindle advised me that the next in the series was available for download right there and then! Happy days! :-)

This book was amazing! It's the first in the Redhead series and I cant wait for more. It's light and happy with a weird sense of humor that makes you feel happy.
Jack and Grace are crazy for each other and are crazy in general.
Grace is 33 and acts like a big kid. I'm girl crushing at the moment wishing I was her, to have the courage to truly not care what people think about what I say or do. I think everyone has an inner Grace so it makes it easier to identify with her. For me, Grace seems to be the first girl I read about not being a stick and that just makes her more real in my eyes.
Jack is 24 and just as insane as Grace. He doesn't care what people think or what his manager says, He's not going to hold back what he thinks or does with Grace.
Together they are perfect for each other and it's great to see them being silly with each other.
"I...love you...so...much...," I chocked out. "I love you too, Gracie...Always," he said, deadpan, holding up a maxi pad.
As soon as I started reading this book I knew I was going to love it and I wasn't wrong! I laughed til I cried at the funny parts and boy, there are plenty. (I will never look at a seagull again without laughing!) What makes this story work for me, is that the author Alice Clayton, makes the characters seem refreshingly real and believable. You find yourself thinking "that would happen to me" or "I've said/done that!". I loved the way we saw Jack and Grace as "real people in love" and not like mills & boon characters (although I do like quite a bit of that too!) I can't rave enough about this book so, instead of reading this review go check it out for yourself and see that I'm not wrong! I'm off to find out what happens in The Redhead Revealed!
All I can say is if you haven't read this book/series you should! I loved it and cannot wait until book three is released in 2013.
The writing is second to none and the banter in this book between the characters is just adorable! The characters are totally loveable, so much so, I just couldn't put this book down and ended up reading it within a day.
I have truly fallen in love with this author's style of writing and look forward to reading more her work in the future. I honestly cannot recommend these books highly enough. Enjoy! :)

I have read both unidentified redhead & redhead revealed and I can say without a doubt they''re both absolutely brilliant. Alice Clayton's writing is fantastic...she mixes hot and steamy with humour so well...I was laughing out loud one minute and holding my breath the next. I loved the way jack aka George n Grace called each other pet names....n the seagull part had me rolling with laughter. I really enjoyed these books n was sad when they ended...I can't wait for the next installment in spring. I will also be checking out Alice's work in future (wallbanger out in Nov)....I can't recommend these books enough!!!!
5.0 out of 5 starsVery funny, sexy, light hearted read!

I really enjoyed this book! I had started to tire of romances, as they all started to roll into one, with them all being so similar.
Obviously, the usual 'boy meets girl and falls in love' format was present, but I really fell in love with the characters. I immediately felt the chemistry between Jack & Grace and was rooting for them from the start...!
Alice certainly knows how to get you feeling HOT and I was impressed by Jack's prowess between the sheets! The sex was erotic, but without being overly smutty.
I have also read Alice Claytons novel, Wallbanger, which I also enjoyed and will be starting 'Redhead Revealed' immediately!

Grace is such a down to earth independent woman, funny, sassy and knows what she wants and where she is going! Then Jack enters her life and wow what a relationship develops. They fall head over heels in love, but her age is her weak spot. Jack isn't bothered at all and he is sexy, tender and has a great sense of humour. I love the fact he is a Brit! Their tender moments are so very tender but wowee their sex scenes are are so sexy hot and their humour is endearing. Just loved it!

One of the best books I've read this year. Laugh-out-loud, brilliant plot, and makes you wish you had your own Jack as well. (= I love Grace. She's amazing and wish you could be her as well. The supporting characters were equally brilliant and I do love Michael. Gracie may be immature at times but she's a lovable immature character, not your annoying, whining and naive thirty-something year old woman.
Have a go. You won't regret reading this book. The sequel to this and The Wallbanger is top-notch as well. Alice Clayton is a genius!

I bought this book after reading and enjoying Wallbanger by the same author. I absolutely LOVED this book from the first page. Another hot man (Jake) to add to the collection. There is a good story and is extremely well written with plenty of laughs. If you haven't already.....Read it!!!!!!
AmaZing book! So much love for Alice Clayton. Her writing is beyond impressive with funny quips and clever puns and crazy relatable inner monologues. She’s my favourite author on the planet and if you haven’t read her cocktail series - do it now!!!
I really enjoyed reading this book and love the two characters of Grace and Jack, love the pet names they also have for each other so funny, especially when they call each other by their surnames. I am in the middle of reading the follow up book, but sadly cant see another one as of yet although I do believe there was going to be another one. Want more of Grace and Jack....
Once again Alice drew me in with her genius writing and the characters that are Grace and Johnny Bite Down! When reading this series you'll have many moments where you can imagine it happening to you and that totally makes me fall in love with the books even more! I am currently on the look out for a bff like Nick! Alice...thank u!

LOVED this book from the first page! Sometimes I find it hard to begin picturing the characters in books or the films ruin them before I get a chance but Clayton creates such a great image of them and leaves just a bit for your own imagination ;) The story line I found to be captivating, funny and endearing and kept me hooked till the last page. I can be sceptical about endings however this was a perfect and sweet way to end a fantastic book. Just about to buy the next book... highly recommended :)
