Hard to know where to start with Anthony Iannarino's first book. I have spent the last two decades accumulating sales and self improvement books by all of the names that will be familiar to most readers in this space, but this one goes to the top of the heap. Some people might say that it is some of the same material rehashed, and that is partly true. But the bottom line is that I haven't experienced a more practical no holds barred description of the sales process then what Anthony has presented. Since that time, I have been drawn into his world of daily blogging, youtubing, and weekly facebook meetings, and have found him to be a cut above. Highly recommend it.
If you're a Professional Salesperson looking to keep your skills up, this is a good book for you. Basic and advanced selling skills based on consultative selling. I have several flags in this book for future reference.
This is a fantastic book. Just incredible value. I can't recommend it highly enough. I will definitely put to use and have already implemented things I've learned and refined in my own understanding of the true value of sales.
“I have just had the pleasure of reading “The Only Sales Guide You’ll Ever Need” by Anthony Iannarino. I can highly recommend Iannarino’s book as it is a masterful display of the mindset all sales professional’s require to compete at the highest level in today’s ultra-competitive Buyers’ marketplace. Iannarino is not only inspirational in his delivery of profiles and need to know lists of sales ideas, he shows empathy for hungry sales professionals and their pick and choose clients. Iannarino clearly outlines why none of us in business are owed anything buy our current clients and what he refers to as dream clients. What I particularly liked about Iannarino’s work is that his authorial voice is clear, honest, motivational, brave and strong. One line in his book is still ringing in my ears “Remember, no opportunity is ever closed that hasn’t first been opened”. Sports greats Michael Jordan or Wayne Gretsky could have easily been the author of this truism. Buy “The Only Sales Guild You’ll Ever Need” today. Read this book with highlighter markers and sticky notes in hand. This book is filled with diamonds and pearls. It is filled with Iannarino’s honest sales successes and failures. It is full of what you need to know to land and keep whale sized accounts from amazing dream customers!”

I’ve read many sales books over the years that I’ve found useful, both as a sales person and now as a director of sales – from Mark Hunter’s High Profit Selling to Jeb Blount’s Fanatical Prospecting. Anthony Iannarino’s The Only Sales Guide You’ll Ever Need takes sales to another level. It’s an absolute must-read for anyone who wants to achieve success and improve value to their customers.
Anthony’s excellence advice ranges from storytelling, optimism, dealing with rejection, belief, studying your wins and losses and working on your strategy. He also recommends more reading at the end of each chapter from different authors. Every successful sales person I’ve met invests in sales books. The Only Sales Guide You’ll Ever Need will make a difference to your career.

This is a must for all sales people. The title is perhaps a little misleading. The author admits that his emphasis is perhaps more on having the correct mindset rather than reviewing basic sales techniques, such as closing or negotiation. If you want to learn about basic selling, you should probably look elsewhere. The main strength of this book is that it really brings out what it takes to become a successful sales person. It is the sort of book you need to read and re-read regularly to keep you motivated.
I keep reading books for continuous self improvement be it on a personal and professional basis. This book has elevated my sales acumen ten fold. It truly is awesome and with a money back guarantee one can't go wrong.

This is one of the best sales books any sales person could read. If you are serious about improving your selling mindset (which is critical), and you want to ditch the old school ABC mentality. This is for you. Pay particular attention to Anthony's approach to closing sales. No gimics, no silly tactics. But, a more nuanced and accurate reflection of what actually happens. It is all about gaining mini-commitments throughout the Sales Process.
