They say not to judge a book by its cover but I sorta did on this one, at least the cover caught my attention while I was scrolling through recommendations and made me click on it for the blurb. I was absolutely captivated by the story. Magical powers and the mystery surrounding Mackenzie’s future because she had the twelfth mark was very well written and hooked my attention right from the start.
Looking forward to part two. Ends on a cliffhanger. Will be interested to see how it develops. Seems written for a younger audience, but I could be bias as I'm not 17 and am in my 30s and am used to reading more adult characters and sexual situations. Still promising series and am curious as to how it will play out.
Not a bad read. The series moves fast and I felt like this three book series could of been flushed out a little bit. the RH nature was interesting though it also felt quite rushed. These three books are worth a read.

This is an excellent start to a new series, for sure. So good, in fact, that I've also bought the physical copy too!
The story line is very interesting. I was intrigued from the very beginning. It's so very easy to get hooked to this book just from the first couple of pages. I love the magical aspect to the whole thing and the supernatural abilities they have. It's very much my cup of tea, for sure. The characters are great! They're so easy to fall in love with and get attached to. Kenzie is a brilliant MC. She's strong, fun and feisty. Her time keeping skills are very similar to my own, so that was relatable! The guys, oh the guys, are.. yum. I mean, Mr Daniels, for one! *swoon* And then there's Enzo and Easton *drool*. Who doesn't love a jerk and a sweetheart?! Then there's the twins, Logan and Locke. I, for one, wouldn't complain about being in between that twin sandwich! *snickers*
So, it was an amazing read and left me hanging on the edge of my seat. I'm dying to read the next book and find out whats going to happen next! I would happily recommend this book and I gladly give it 5 stars. Now, the countdown for the next book begins!
I found this book by accident on Amazon and decided to give it a go as the premise seemed interesting. It would definitely fall under the YA category, despite it having some more adult content at times. Once I started reading this book I couldn’t put it down and devoured it on one sitting. Kenzie is a likeable protagonist with a quick wit and fiery attitude. I liked that despite all that happens in the book, she doesn’t loose that spunk that makes her stand out from so many other female leads. When she is unexpectedly given twelve marks and becomes one of the most powerful among the Marked, you just know there are going to be problems that arise. East, Locke, Logan, Enzo and Mr Daniels certainly add intrigue and candour to the story line as their relationships develop. Each with completely different personalities and reactions to the crazy do first think later attitude of our protagonist. Locke and Logan add a much needed humour, East with his boy next door persona, the bad boy Enzo and the unattainable Mr Daniels. Without giving too much away, I enjoyed that Kenzie didn’t instantly find everything easy and had to make mistakes to control her new powers. I would definitely recommend this book to a friend and give it 5 stars for its addictive quality.
What a brilliantly written story. I love the plot, I love the reverse harem aspect and love the 12 marks and what they do. I totally want to be initiated into this school, especially if Mr Daniels is my teacher mmhhmmmm.
Receiving so many marks Kenzie has her work cut out getting control of her powers and proving herself worthy of them. She is the talk of the school before she even starts.
Way to leave a cliffhanger!! Off to read books two and three.
Oh my! I really love this... the Marked school and how they are initiated was really cool and amazing! I love how the MC is always late for her classes... and generally being lost when it comes to controlling her power... I love the guys... Enzo, East and Mr Daniels are my favourite! Love the twins though too... seriously, I love this book and I can tell I’m gonna love the series!! What a cliffhanger :o Looking forward to the next! :)
12 marks is very rare but Mckenzie has them all. Untrained with the powers she is blessed with sees her start school for the marked. She doesn't get off to the best start but is slowly learning how to use some of her powers.
Seems like McKenzie has a thing for five guys and one of them is a teacher.
