I’ve really enjoyed the first two books of this series. The third one continues to bring great action and funny lines. I missed the main character from before joe, but I would recomendo the read if you liked the other two.
5.0 out of 5 starsIf you like any of Krout's other work, you'll love this, but don't start here

I have really enjoyed the Completionist Chronicles. This is an excellent addition, and it's fun to stretch the world a bit without it all being from one main character's point of view. Definitely not something you should pick up out of order, you could enjoy it on its own, but you will enjoy it more if read in order.
Good writing - took a slightly creepy comic relief character and wrote a fun side quest about them. Enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would, and the back story explains a lot about their actions.
4.0 out of 5 starsOne of the more intriguing characters gets his own story.

If the character of Jaxon (the crazy, posture-obsessed acupuncturist) amuses you, then you will probably enjoy this. If he annoys you, then I would avoid this. The silliness that is usually present during all interactions with jaxon are in the story in even greater levels than previously - fair warning! This story takes place after the end of the 2nd main story (Regicide) and follows Jaxon as he heads off on his own to complete his own class quest. During the story, we see his stats which goes some way to explaining some off his behaviour and also hear more of his back story which also helps us understand him some more. A certain amount of crazy just seems to be a core part of him! This story introduces a new character that appears destined to be added to the main story but not reading this does not seem like it would affect the introduction of them into the main story too much. In summary, if you like Jaxon, read this. If you don’t then don’t!

Was expecting continuiation of Joe's adventures, but was surprised(pleasantly) that it's about the most extravagant character. It was funny, entertaining amd gave some more insight on the world. Hopefully this will help shape next books - maybe guild vs guild; I hope they take over wolfmen village.
Unfortunately book is tooooooo dammmnnn shooortttt. I hope there will be more side stories about other characters in Joe's party.

Although it did not progress the main storyline it did add a lot of to flesh out the character of 1 of the party members, was so absorbed in this that i didnt really have time to be annoyed that it wasnt the main character we had followed so far.
5.0 out of 5 starsAn interesting side story to an interesting series

Jaxon is an interesting character with a very different approach to Joe, and the effects of low charisma were amusing to see firsthand. It was nice to learn a little more about the wolfmen, too. I hope to see more of Jess in future books.
