Strangers on a Train, but on a plane and with women. With a nod to Patricia Highsmith’s classic, this novel about revenge, female friendship and loyalty will keep you turning the pages long after you intended to turn off the light and put the book down.
When seemingly two very different women meet on a flight to New York and get talking they find out they both have some fairly major problems that have been brought about by men. Using the simple devise of swapping problems each is able to find the weak spots in the men they are seeking revenge on and help each other execute seemingly motiveless justice on their victims. The conceit is straightforward but the execution deliciously complex. Vittoria and Lily are wonderful creations that we enjoy following through the twists and turns of the plot of this beautifully constructed thriller.
