5.0 out of 5 stars Loved the developments in this book

Can I just say that I loved this one??

Luna has so much to deal with after everything that happened at the end of the last book. Ryder's demon is out and missing, and she takes his absence incredibly hard. We see her grief and her heartbreak, which just make her that much more determined to find Ryder and bring him back home.

As always, I loved seeing the Super Slayer Squad in action - I find the whole team aspect so refreshing, and I like seeing them become stronger together than they are apart. This is not to say that they don't have their own problems within the group, because they certainly do - Luna and Raine must confront the fallout from the last book, and they have to deal with a newcomer taking over as team lead.

I've been intrigued by Drake the entire series, and I was so happy to see so much of him in this book. I love the dynamic between him and Luna, and seeing how it has naturally progressed throughout the series. Nothing between them ever felt rushed or forced - it took time for their friendship to build, and I think that this allowed them to appreciate each other so much more.

Suffice it to say, I really like the direction this book took, and I'm really looking forward to see where the rest of the series is heading.

4.0 out of 5 stars Never a boring moment...

I absolutely LOVED book three and it guts me to give a 4 star rating instead of the 5 like I wanted to do. The plot moved at a perfect pace, the scenes were never boring or length and I feel like there was fantastic character growth for Drake. However, Luna's behaviors regarding Ryder slightly bothered me, she allowed herself to get caught up in all of her pain of missing and loving him instead of looking at the bigger picture. She acted like her suffering and living life without him was the only thing that mattered at certain times throughout the book, while at other times, she took charge of her fate, the situations she was placed in and handled them like a champ. In a way, I feel like she took a few steps back in character growth which is why I took 1 star off.

I will say that I loved how much more of a role Drake played in this book. He was every bit of his normal, icy self but we also got to see another side of him, one that seems to be reserved for Luna's eyes only. I adored Ryder in books one and two but after reading book three, Drake has taken the place of my top choice for Luna. Although there are complications surrounding his role back in the Winter Court, I'll be curious to see what happens with his family's expectations and his personal needs/wants/desires - will loyalty and duty force him back home? I sure hope not!

I am looking forward to the fourth and final book of the series (I also hope it's a bit longer in page count too!)

⭐️ This series keeps getting better and better. I am in love with this world, and wish I could be be apart of it. The details of her writing paint a vivid picture. It’s almost like watching a movie. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. I’m excited to see the relationships forming (don’t want to give any spoilers) I think this next book will be even better than this one! The characters in the book feel so real. I have laughed and cried with them. Especially Luna. This book was worth every penny! If you haven’t read this series you’re missing out! ⭐️

4.0 out of 5 stars Attracted to the Darkness

We always live the bad boys whether it is just men who are sexy and typical bad boy, daredevil tpye or supernatural demons like Ryder. We don't want a man to cherish us a treat us like a princess, we want to live on the edge, be breathless and experience moments on high drama and Luna is no different. Drawn to Ryder's dark side Luna is finding she can't let go and Drake is a great guy but too safe by comparison and no neatly dangerous enough. Like a moth to a flame the desire sometimes overrides the mind and knowing when to walk away.
