Can I just say that I loved this one??
Luna has so much to deal with after everything that happened at the end of the last book. Ryder's demon is out and missing, and she takes his absence incredibly hard. We see her grief and her heartbreak, which just make her that much more determined to find Ryder and bring him back home.
As always, I loved seeing the Super Slayer Squad in action - I find the whole team aspect so refreshing, and I like seeing them become stronger together than they are apart. This is not to say that they don't have their own problems within the group, because they certainly do - Luna and Raine must confront the fallout from the last book, and they have to deal with a newcomer taking over as team lead.
I've been intrigued by Drake the entire series, and I was so happy to see so much of him in this book. I love the dynamic between him and Luna, and seeing how it has naturally progressed throughout the series. Nothing between them ever felt rushed or forced - it took time for their friendship to build, and I think that this allowed them to appreciate each other so much more.
Suffice it to say, I really like the direction this book took, and I'm really looking forward to see where the rest of the series is heading.
