The narration was good, and the story would have been fine if it had been written in the 50s. As it was, the idea of a fragile woman, whose exploits were only impressive because they were done by a woman, not because they were impressive in and of themselves, and even though she’s a famous outlaw, needs to be both rescued multiple times, and told how to rob a train (!) by a man who’s never done it before, is a bit old. Also, the main villain is a woman who dares to think that women should have rights and be treated less unfairly. So ... not the groundbreaking feminist western I was hoping for. And it was too bad, because I was so excited for this.

I loved everything about this book. The story was fantastic, the performance seamless--I was looking for every excuse to get back in the car so I could listen for longer. I've been recommending this book to everyone I see, including people I met 30 seconds ago, non-stop since I first heard it. #Audible1
