The book, although it could have been enjoyable in paper form, as I would have been able to skim over the boring parts, was so over described that it was painful.

The narrator was like listening to way too many hours of Steve Martin. I won't even get into the terrible accents, from redneck relative to Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Other than that the story would have been okay if the women were not objectified by their body parts.

Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband Gabriel returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

Couldn't stop listening! Excellent book and excellent narrator. At first it seemed a little slow, but once you start you're hooked.

Great book as usual from JD Robb. The narrator yells so much that Eve Dallas sounds like a belligerent shrew. The accents are hard to take. We have southern or count Dracula. It would be easier to listen to without the yelling and downright bad accents.

On an island lives a boy called Peter and his band of merry lost boys, young forever. That is unless they get sick or killed by pirates or eaten by crocodiles or unless - inexplicably - they grow old. For some of them do grow old, and nobody knows why. One of these boys is called Jamie, and he was the first boy that Peter ever brought to the island. Jamie's lived there for longer than he can remember, and it's not all fun and games.

The story although fantastic was a tiny bit draggy at times and I would lose track. The narrative grates on nerves after a while.

That being said, the book was well written and the characters so well portrayed that at the end you will miss them. I am not much for science fiction, but the reviews were so good I took the chance. If I was to read the book I would not have been able to put it down until finished. Well done.

Louie Cogburn had spent three days holed up in his apartment, staring at his computer screen. His pounding headache was unbearable - like spikes drilling into his brain. And it was getting worse. Finally, when someone knocked at his door, Louie picked up a baseball bat, opened the door, and started swinging... The first cop on the scene fired his stunner twice and Louie died instantly. Detective Eve Dallas has taken over the investigation, but there's nothing to explain the man's sudden rage or death.
