Two standalone novels from the queen of mystery, Agatha Christie. From the sprawling Leonide family to dark moors, no one can spin a mystery quite like she can. In Crooked House, the Leonides are one big happy family living in a sprawling, ramshackle mansion. That is until the head of the household, Aristide, is murdered with a fatal barbiturate injection....

I came into this knowing it was different from her other works. I enjoyed crooked house, did not enjoy endless nights. I did not like the characters or plot and felt disappointed when it ended exactly as I had guessed. with her other works I am hooked from the very begging but these two were alot more slow moving. endless nights especially I felt like I was really forcing myself to continue listening and I kept thinking the ending would be worth it. it's the first time I ever correctly guessed an ending for agatha Christie and honestly I found it anti climatic and disappointing. crooked house, although styled differently still had that twisted ending that I enjoy and felt satisfied reading, as a stand alone book, I would recommend

Being a sentient spaceship really should be more fun. But after spreading out through space for almost a century, Bob and his clones just can't stay out of trouble. They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct. But political squabbles have a bad habit of dying hard, and the Brazilian probes are still trying to take out the competition. And the Bobs have picked a fight with an older, more powerful species with a large appetite and a short temper.

I loved this series. I saw it on my recommendations for a while but I wasn't much of a SciFi fan. decided to try it and just wow. the story was amazing and captivating from beginning to end. the narration was the best that I've heard yet. I could visualize each characters facial features based on his tone before he gave the description of what they were suppose to look like. the story itself was great. it was one of the few series I've read that I've wanted to continue hearing more of. l usually get bored of a series in the middle but this one had me in the edge throughout the whole thing. I've been trying to find something else like this to listen to but no luck. When finishing the book I was just left with, what now? nothing can top that.
10/10 would recommend.

Bob Johansson has just sold his software company and is looking forward to a life of leisure. There are places to go, books to read, and movies to watch. So it's a little unfair when he gets himself killed crossing the street. Bob wakes up a century later to find that corpsicles have been declared to be without rights, and he is now the property of the state. He has been uploaded into computer hardware and is slated to be the controlling AI in an interstellar probe looking for habitable planets.
