A great easy listen. Author sets on a mission to be more happy. While she is an accomplished professional with great family and no money problems, I urge you to not write her off so fast. Its hard to be happy. Rich people can hate their life, while low income family can be extreme happy. Life has choices all over the place and being happy is a choice. Being happy is not a movie perfect moment that falls on you. You work on being happy, you put yourself in situation that could be uncomfortable, you take yourself out of comfort zone, you work on your relationships and you exercise your body and mind to do better. The author explores various ways she can gain more happiness and with a little imagination you can apply all these lessons to your life as well.

This book is happy and peaceful. I enjoyed listening to it a lot! Not only its a privet story of a real family and their move from England to Denmark, it is also story about the way people live and how living in one country or another can affect you. Its a story about how grass might be greener on the other side, but only you can decide to be happy by being grateful about things you have vs things that you don't. Happiness comes to those who look for it.

First of all do not let sample of this book scare you. I almost didn't get it, because I hate when authors narrate their own books. Sample sounded a bit dry. But if you care even a tiny bit about space, NASA, space station or most importantly how much can one person take, this book is defiantly for you.
Scott Kelly is yet another example of how far a person can go if they are not afraid of a challenge. His life story is fascinating. His character is no doubt a complex one, but he won me over completely by worrying about research mouse from space station,by not wanting this mouse to suffer. Having compassion is what moves us forward.
Book is well written and flows well. There are funny moment and very intimate moments. Its a story of a man that came from difficult situation and set himself a goal and its a story of how he got where he wanted to be.

Why we think it’s a great listen: You thought he was a stodgy scientist with funny hair, but Isaacson and Hermann reveal an eloquent, intense, and selfless human being who not only shaped science with his theories, but politics and world events in the 20th century as well. Based on the newly released personal letters of Albert Einstein, Walter Isaacson explores how an imaginative, impertinent patent clerk became the mind reader of the creator of the cosmos.

Whenever you know nothing or moderate amount about Einstein, you have to listen to this book. Author so skilfully ties together well know facts with intimate letters about great scientist. You get to follow Einstein’s whole life and get to know him. You get to go back to his time and get a feel of countries he lived in or visited. It’s a history book as much as an story of one person . While Einstein gives us an opportunity to see inside universe, history side shows exactly how Second World War was made possible. It’s an amazing listen and extremely well written book. I would recommend it to anyone who has any slight interest in science or The great scientist Einstein.

Every day, we find ourselves in gatherings, Priya Parker says in The Art of Gathering. If we can understand what makes these gatherings effective and memorable, then we can reframe and redirect them to benefit everyone, host and guest alike. Parker defines a gathering as three or more people who come together for a specific purpose. When we understand why we gather, she says - to acknowledge, to learn, to challenge, to change - we learn how to organize gatherings that are relevant and memorable.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

If you love space, science, great story line and an idea of a city on the Moon, this book is for you. I guess I can review it best by saying I listen to whole book in 2 days, because I couldn't stop. Thanks to the author for an amazing attention to detail. He explains the smallest things about how the city on the Moon could and hopefully will (one day ) work. Story line is captivating and characters are well developed. Looking forward to a sequel.
