Sean D'Souza really knows how to take a complex (or seemingly complex) topic and make it simple. I've used the content of the book to refine some of my consulting work and it has blown clients away. I got the digital download to read along with the audiobook and I'll probably pick up a physical copy at some point.

Some good info, but felt like it was lacking

I think this is one of those books that could have been a long blog post. I do really believe in the message it is pushing (using gifting to build relationships) and the author gives examples from his life when it worked. He also gives some guidelines like don't gift food-related items and don't gift around Christmas. But overall he gave a very small range of the type of gifts that work well. For example, he repeatedly uses a knife set as an example throughout the book.

This book should be required reading for all teenagers - to kick start their personal finance journey on the right foot. It really covers all of the basics of personal finance from what kind of accounts you should open down to the details of negotiating the best price for a car and investing your money. He also discusses the way he views money and spending which I found particularly helpful. I'm certainly not a novice when it comes to personal finance but I still found a lot of great advice in this book that I've applied to my personal finances.

I was excited to read this because I like Chuck Palahniuk's work and this feels very much like him. But my god the remix is SO ANNOYING to listen to! You can't just sit back and enjoy your book while commuting or doing chores because at the end of every chapter (some of which are only 6 minutes long) you're instructed on which chapter to jump to next. That's the "remix" part. For example: "Now jump to Chapter 17, Track 18" which means in your audible app you have to jump to what is listed as Chapter 18. Confused yet? That took me a few chapters in to figure out. Now image you forgot which chapter you last listened to... there is literally no way for you to get back to where you were because the order is completely random. In the opening, Chuck Palahniuk has an explanation about why he wanted to do this almost like an artist's statement but it's only good in theory and awful in practice. Just get the original audio book.
