This is not one of the romance genres I generally enjoy, but something about the title "Wrong" grabbed my attention, and I am glad it did. Sophie is a university student, working in a coffee shop, who wants to have sex for the first time. Although she has been seeing a fellow student, Sophie is attracted to a slightly older but sexy man who appears once a week to purchase coffee. She's made an appointment at the clinic for birth control, and the sexy man turns out to be a gynecologist. And then their romance takes off, after a couple of hurdles. What was terrific about this story is that you, as a listener/reader, never feel that Sophie is forced to do anything that she does not want to do. She is strong, although young and not as worldly or experienced as Luke, the doctor and she has a lot of autonomy to chose her path in life. I didn't like the secondary character, Beverly/Everly whom I found a tad annoying, but apparently, she's got her own book, so my opinion may change. #Audible1

I enjoy walking and listening to books at the same time. Thanks, #Audible1. And sometimes, I listen to self-help books. There are probably a lot of us out there who like to listen or read t self-help books, but there is sometimes a stigma around that. Here's the thing about this book. It was written a while ago, but the lessons contained in the book have stood the test of time. It's a very long listen, almost 22 hours, so in order to really absorb the content, I made it a year-long project. I listened to one chapter at a time, and sometimes I bounced around to listen to a chapter that I needed to listen to that specific week. This was easy to do since I also have this book in paperback. So I suggest you download the audio, purchase yourself a simple notebook from the dollar store, and spend some time every week listening to one chapter. Not everything will resonate with you, nor did it for me (business stuff for example), but there are a lot of practical lessons to be learned.

#Audible1 Mindfulness Meditation has become a well-known topic and is no longer considered "out there". In this book, Ms. Salzberg introduces people who are new to the concept of meditation, how to meditate and what the benefits are. I was fortunate that this was a Book Club selection, and we had an excellent mindfulness teacher who took us through the book every week. The book laid a foundation, certainly for me, and took meditation out of the realm of Buddhist philosophy into a form of "therapy" that anyone in today's society could benefit from. There is a need for almost everyone in the Western Hemisphere to slow down, quiet your thoughts and simply breathe.

Every woman needs a Jake Becker in her life. I have listened to this book several times, simply because it is such a wonderful love story. Jake meets Chelsea, who has been left as guardian to six nieces and nephews. It sounds heartbreaking, and sometimes it is, but the story of Jake falling in love with Chelsea, taking on the responsibility of six children, and his internal battle to back off and run far away from a family is brilliantly told by the author, Emma Chase. Jake wants to be the eternal bachelor, and Chelsea stands her ground and never begs or cries. I have never enjoyed reading romance novels with children. It's not my "thing". But kudos to Ms. Chase who managed so successfully to turn my opinion. Ms. Chase remains one of my favourite authors - and she certainly should be yours as well. #Audible1

Chloe is a school teacher who suffers from social anxiety. She tends to drift off or tell "knock knock" jokes. Enter Boyd, FBI agent, a few years older, quite wealthy, who seems to fall in love with Chloe very quickly. Much of the story is spent in understanding how Boyd understands Chloe's anxiety issues, and how he is willing to work around them to build a relationship with her. For some reason, I preferred the other books in the series, and I think the reason is that Boyd fell in love very quickly and we didn't really learn the reasons why. But this is a good author, and you should certainly explore her work. #Audible1

My first Christina Lauren book, and definitely not the last. I've listened to this book a couple of times, since it is so enjoyable, and sexy, and there are a lot of secondary characters who you will meet in the other books in the series. Christina Lauren is actually two women, friends, who have hit the right note between telling a story, having the "angst" that is a requirement in romance novels, the sexiness factor, and just brilliant storytelling. The heroine is determined and focussed as is the hero, but then both of them are falling into lust and then into love. #Audible1

A very slow "listen" - not the narrator's fault

A lot of people have heard about the "Kondo Method" of decluttering, and I applaud Ms. Kondo for becoming a worldwide phenomenon for organizing people's lives. We certainly live in a culture, at least in the West, of too much of everything. The book is sparse, since really, how much can you say about minimalism and decluttering, and in this instance, it is perhaps better to purchase the book than to listen to it. The narrator did a fine job with the narration. #Audible1

Emma Chase at her finest in writing the 2nd part of a series of "Royally" books. Prince Henry, the second son who is suddenly vaulted into the position of heir to the throne, meets someone who is different. The heroine is bookish, and a virgin, and their path to falling in love is slow but so beautifully written that immediately after listening to the book the first time, I started listening to it again. I've listened to all the "Royally" books, and this still remains my favorite. Emma Chase is on my list of authors to"Immediately Purchase Book" because this is an author with a lot of talent and skill in the storytelling department. The narrators, old favourites of mine, were outstanding. #Audible1

If you are a staunch Christian, this is not a book for you, as you will probably be offended by the idea of a priest falling in love. The angst the young priest feels is brilliantly described by the author. The two narrators do an excellent job and certainly bring the story to life. It's difficult to write this review since I don't want to post any spoilers, but it is on the very sexy end of the scale, which doesn't disturb me in the least, but might disturb some readers who don't like sex scenes in their romance novels. I had never read a book of this nature, a book that describes what happens when you fall in love against all of the rules, especially rules that a big organization like a Church has, but I found the book wholly satisfactory, even the couple of scenes that took me out of my comfort zone. This is certainly an author that I have added to me "Immediately Purchase List". #Audible1

This book was more enjoyable because it showed us that Eve Dallas, notwithstanding her tragic and traumatic childhood, is able to form bonds of friendship and that in her own way, she can show her love and affection, as she does for Dr. Mira's husband, Dennis Mira. Dallas has a soft spot for Dennis, and Dr. Mira, throughout the series of books, has filled the role of quasi-mother for Eve. Roarke, as usual, is rich and sexy, and irresistible. Every woman needs a Roarke in her life. The narrator, who I believe has been narrating the J.D. Robb books for a while, is easy to listen to. If you are a fan of the "In Death" series of books, you will be a fan of this book. #Audible1
