This book was super lame. I made it 3/4 if the way through but the ridiculously implausible plot combined with the weird uncomfortable semi 50 shades relationship between Lyla and Ash was extremely off putting. I quit the book at the scene where Ash tells Lyla to be quiet, then later tells her to get used to it. Um..wut?

This book feels like the characters are written out of the authors fantasy life and are utterly unrelatable and obnoxious.

Don’t bother with this one, wish I hadn’t wasted so much time!

I didn’t make it all the way through this book because about 2/3 of the way through the book takes a very religious turn, focusing on the importance of faith and how central it is to the concepts of the book. This was where it lost me as I do not believe in a higher power, and based on the content of the book this is a requirement in order to live a whole hearted life.

I would not recommend this book for any who are not religious, or do not believe in a higher power - there is a lot of good content but the focus on god and faith was very off putting.
