Slow, not as good as the first one.

I had a tough time with this audiobook. There is a LOT of dialogue and very little action. The dialogue is the only device that moves the plot forward for the majority of the book. At the beginning of the book he continues with the flash-back style of the first novel, but it doesn't make sense in the new context, then he ditches the device completely about half way through and there's no pay-off for the easter egg at the beginning. It took a while for me to get used to the narrator's voice/accent. The narrator reads exceptionally slow, I was listening at 1.25x and was still a moderate pace. Overall, a little disappointed. However, the protagonists old a new are likeable and keep you engaged well enough.

Not the best book I've ever read, but definitely entertaining. My first read of Joe Hill, glad to see the creativity and depth of story runs in the family. Very good as an audiobook. It actually came up on a list of top horror audiobooks, and it is well deserved.

This is a Stephen King classic, and for good reason. A fantastic, concise story with emotion and creep factor. I wish a little more time had been given to the climax and ending after all the build up, but maybe I just didn’t want it to end. Michael C Hall as a narrator will make it very difficult for any other audiobook to come close in quality.

I am half way through listening to the book and I am having a tough time continuing on. While the concept is incredibly interesting, the content is repetitive. I may have had a better time reading it, but the narration lacks energy and gives a boring vibe. I would have been interested in hearing the actual author’s voice. People seem to love this book but I am not really enjoying the audible experience of it.
