The worst book I've ever listened to on Audibles

This is definitely the worst book I've listened to on Audibles. And my library is saying I've finished 53 books so far.
There's absolutely no substance here. Only repetition of "You have to work harder than anyone else to be successful." I get that and I agree with that. But I don't need a 7 hour book to tell me that.
I'm so happy I got this as a free offer from Audibles I would have been so upset if I had paid money for it.

I thought this would include investment principals

This is mostly about how to be at a work place. If you're looking for investment advice this is not it.

it's not bad, performance is good and you get a fair amount of details. I'd have liked to have more input from Jordan himself. Clearly this author didn't have access to Jordan.

Gary is genuine and motivational

Based on the little clips here and there I always thought Gary Vee is so arrogant and a nobody. Listening to this book made me realized he's very genuine and smart. This book is great motivation but the content isn't very informative. I can't say I learned much but it does get you fired up.

Not much new if you know a little bit

I can't say this book taught me anything. but it does motivate you to think about stuff for your own. in the boom he says Growth hacking is a mindset not methodology and he's right about that, and this book makes you try and think that way.

Not as detailed as you'd hope.

I thought there's be more insights into the inner functioning of the company. There's a fair amount of information but everything is mostly surface.

It's a good look into his train of thoughts. You can skip the end which is the Q&A part it's pretty much a repeat of stuff he says in the book.

Great book on a great man.

The only complaint I have is that it does not include much about the inner workings of Standard Oil and details of the thought processes behind some decisions made. It looks at it from a 20000ft distance angle.
Otherwise the book is great. Very informative on the man and the family too.

Meh. Not enough business learning

I'm a big fan of autobiographies. But this one left to desire. It's mostly a Starbucks marketing book, not much value added content unless you're a huge fan of Starbucks. I also found the reader tries to sound dramatic all the time which gets tiring when you're listening to the book.

Interesting examples but not a marketing guidebook

There are some interesting examples of people who have done things right. And of course I'm a big fan of the radio show, but if you're looking for a general guidebook of what a marketing department of a company is supposed to look like and what their responsibilities are, this is not it.
