We re-join the action as Sneddon corners the wounded alien, knowing that her own parasitic embryo is about to break free. Despite Ripley’s wounds, she sets out with Hooper to try and disable Ash once and for all. They make their way to the medical bay, where Ripley’s wounds can be healed. Superb!! I don't think I can praise this enough. The voice acting is just perfect. I've only ever heard production this good from the star wars books before. The actual story is literally perfect if you love the alien series. Thank you!

As destiny weaves its rich tapestry, a compelling drama plays out against a background of wild forests, elegant castles, hidden temples, and savage battlefields. This is the medieval Japan of Lian Hearn's imagination, where animal spirits clash with warriors and children navigate a landscape as serene as it is deadly.

after reading the otori trilogy and prequel, this book came as a massive disappointment. The story is do hard to follow and you never feel you have a main character to love, worry and root for. Shame considering that Mr. Hearn has the ability to transport you to that era and location with ease

Deep below the University, there is a dark place. Few people know of it: a broken web of ancient passageways and abandoned rooms. A young woman lives there, tucked among the sprawling tunnels of the Underthing, snug in the heart of this forgotten place. Her name is Auri, and she is full of mysteries. The Slow Regard of Silent Things is a brief, bittersweet glimpse of Auri’s life, a small adventure all her own. At once joyous and haunting, this story offers a chance to see the world through Auri’s eyes. And it gives the reader a chance to learn things that only Auri knows.... In this book, Patrick Rothfuss brings us into the world of one of The Kingkiller Chronicle’s most enigmatic characters. Full of secrets and mysteries, The Slow Regard of Silent Things is the story of a broken girl trying to live in a broken world.

It saddens me too say this but this book was a huge misstep. I loved the last two, but I seriously couldn't get through this one. I tried so hard but it's incredibly boring. I got it despite the introductory warning as I loved the world crafted by Rothfuss, but this is not that world

it made me more appreciate how amazing the writers for the Netflix show were to be able to adapt such a deep story from this. It's very dated as far as the dialogue goes and the scares are very very tame and more on the psychological side of horror. It's ok.
