The highlight of this book was the voices. They were terrific and brought the characters to life. The storyline dragged and at times was too long. The historical attributes of what they went through at that time were great to learn about and were intertwined into the storyline well. I wish I could have liked the book more, but I felt like I just had to get through it.

This book was okay, not as good as her other books. While others state that they enjoyed the fairytale component, I felt that it was just too much and I didn’t enjoy those parts. The accents were good and the performance was believable. I feel like I listened just to finish it. The ending was worth it but it just felt like a long road to get there.

I found this book to be excellent. Despite the love story being a little far-fetched, the great details about the differences in pregnancy and delivery between the two groups of women was astounding and teaches us so much about the realities during WWII. I enjoyed how the descriptions in the book made me feel an array of emotions, which is what I like when reading, as it feels more like an immersive experience than just reading words. Highly recommend.

Easy to listen to with many twists that I did expect to see coming. Narrator was great. Highly recommend as a mystery type book!

Only finished this one as I don’t like leaving a book unfinished. It was written in a juvenile way and was poorly acted. It was good they had different actors for the voices but some sounded like they were reading with pretend inflection in their voice. Ending just happens, there really wasn’t a climax and resolution of the dull storyline.

This book was well written and read. We got to know Timea through AJ Bridel’s voice, which matched up with the situations and character perfectly. The book had harsh details, but they are required to fully understand the horrors of the trafficking industry, and just how hard it is to escape. We hear her doubts and misunderstanding and unknowing as if we are in the situation, and you really get a better idea of exactly how you would feel trying to live through these experiences. Thank you to Timea for sharing her story so that we can learn the harsh realities of these real situations, and for continuing to help other victims.

This book dragged on from the start. There was nothing exciting and no real plot, just a story told over time that really didn’t go anywhere. For the length of the audio, I kept going thinking something more had to happen. It never did.
