Most books on Borderline Personality Disorder are boring; they usually pump out the same marker traits in a different anecdotal way but leave you with a bleak outlook on your future. However, the way Kiera tells her story makes her more relatable than the character examples given in ‘I Hate You, Don’t Leave Me’ and her words are easy to digest in audio form. I found myself agreeing along with her analogies, pop culture references with her parts and her desires to be well emotionally. This is a great memoir to check out for those recently diagnosed, those looking to understand different therapy approaches to BPD and how to improve relationships with family, friends and loved ones.

This book, if you were to buy the physical copy off the shelves has 10 chapters. The audible version had 24. The content was great, very high-level terminology which never gets broken down but frustrating when you hear something in chapter 6 and when you try to re-listen to understand the concept or content, you have to search through the audible chapters which can be difficult to navigate.
