This book I honestly just decided on because the cover was so intriguing. I love a good thriller and I definitely got one. The dynamic between Erin and Mark is so interesting and the inner monologue of Erin throughout makes her so relatable. While occasionally it was a tad predictable, I loved how all the different plot lines surrounding Erin were woven together. This is definitely a book to read and I would extra recommend it through Audible because the author narrates it which makes it so much better!

The son of a Baptist pastor and deeply embedded in church life in small town Arkansas, as a young man Garrard Conley was terrified and conflicted about his sexuality. When Garrard was a 19-year-old college student, he was outed to his parents, and was forced to make a life-changing decision: either agree to attend a church-supported conversion therapy program that promised to "cure" him of homosexuality; or risk losing family, friends, and the God he had prayed to every day of his life.

This story moved me in ways I didn’t expect. As a queer person this story touched me and brought me a rollercoaster of emotion. Anyone regardless of sexuality should read this and feel the life radiating off these pages. Read and understand. Allow the story into your soul. #Audible1
