The story is okay—sweet and simple. That being said, the minor characters needed fleshing out. BUT the main characters are funny and endearing. Worth a credit.

I love that there is no villain and no intrigue. Well worth the credit. Great debut novel!

The story is great but warning... the narrator makes it almost unbearable.

That being said. Once your ears become accustomed to the odd pacing and crappy fake accent... the story will make up for it

if you can pretend that Mike is in her early 20s instead of her late 20s... her actions and attitude and feelings would be more believable.

Other than that... it’s a pretty good PNR.

Bridget is so wonderfully real. A bit dated in the details that’s why it is 4 and not 5 stars. Definitely worth the credit and narrator is perfect!

The story is okay.. parts of it are hilarious. But the narrator is exceptional and was the reason I don’t regret the purchase.

This is only good IF you have read Nancy Drew in your youth. The setting is quite dated for modern readers/listeners. As it was first published in the 30s... it makes sense. The latest these can be set is in the mid-90s... anyway, I will only recommend Nancy Drew as a purchase if you’re feeling nostalgic...

The book isn’t terrible... it caters to those who crave a more defined ending.

I don’t have a problem that it is not as amazing as Gone With The Wind. Not many sequels—especially ones written by different authors—can ever hope to reach the level of the original.

If you can accept that the story is a kind of wish fulfillment, you’ll enjoy it. I know I did.

I understand that this is a children’s book... but I found it too shallow. I felt that the author was trying too hard for the story and characters to be whimsical that it felt forced.

The narrator did what she could.

I recommend anyone interested in this... to watch the animation from Studio Ghibli instead.

Jane is an amazing woman... but she was too taken in by a crazy person like Mr. Rochester. Just because he was the first person to notice her..? I don’t get it.
