The Great Hunt
- Book Two of The Wheel Of Time
- Auteur(s): Robert Jordan
- Narrateur(s): Kate Reading, Michael Kramer
- Durée: 26 h et 34 min
- Version intégrale
The Wheel of Time turns and ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the age that gave it birth returns again. For centuries, gleemen have told the tales of The Great Hunt of the Horn. So many tales about each of the Hunters, and so many Hunters to tell of. Now, the Horn itself is found: the Horn of Valere long thought only legend, the Horn which will raise the dead heroes of the ages.
Glad I started this series

Second book in the wheel of time series did not disappoint. Having read about half the books years ago before the series was finished I decided to go back and listen to the entire series start to end now that it is finished. Story comes alive well with the narrators. #Audible1

They say Black Dow's killed more men than winter, and clawed his way to the throne of the North up a hill of skulls. The King of the Union, ever a jealous neighbour, is not about to stand smiling by while he claws his way any higher. The orders have been given and the armies are toiling through the northern mud. Thousands of men are converging on a forgotten ring of stones, on a worthless hill, in an unimportant valley, and they've brought a lot of sharpened metal with them.

Have listened to 4 other books in this "world" by this author and narrator. This has been the worst. Too many characters where the book constantly jumps back and forth and not much happened. Still a decent listen but not the best on offer.
