This epic tale sweeps across continents and time, hovers over a key era in American history, and deftly realizes the humanity of a whole cast of characters. Told through flashbacks and alternating points of view, The Last Crossing is about redemption, about seeking and finding, about human feelings and strengths, about personal honor, and about that moment in life when we must decide to cross over and surrender to love.
Unique western tale, well told

I use Audible to follow along my hard copy of the book to stay engaged in the reading i read along it helps me with imagining the setting. I found the voice acting awesome and the pronunciation was superb, but some points the the audio would just miss sections in the book in total probably about 30-40 pages which added up throughout the book. They always came after a break so the book would still make sense. It just missed some background information about Custis Straw which I think was important. other than that it was a great audio, and I really did enjoy the book, even though it was for university.
P.S. YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT FOR THIS BOOK TO BE GOOD. IT TAKES SOME TIME TO SET UP BUT WELL WORTH A READ.
