Are you tired of feeling f*cked up? If you are, Gary John Bishop has the answer. In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unf--ked version of yourself. "Wake up to the miracle you are," he directs. "Here's what you've forgotten: You're a f--king miracle of being." It isn't other people that are standing in your way; it isn't even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive. It's yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.

Not my type of audio book
Évalué le: 2020-04-27
Too much pointing to you, what you should do, and what you can do. You, yourself, your, you've, you're, so much you. If I put $1 everytime I hear anything with you in a sentence, I'd have a lot of money. Not my type of audio book. Sounds like someone telling me what I need to do to change myself. Maybe that's what it's meant to do. Been listening to alot of self improvement books. Feel like this one lacks some elements that those other books have. Might be lack of stories, scientific facts and history from other books I enjoy. Lastly, the Irish accent isn't stroking me the right way. Not something I can enjoy listening to. Maybe I'm not used to it. Nothing against the reader, just not my cup of tea. It is one reason I can't continue with the audio book.

A great book to listen to if you want to learn about human behaviours and how to read them. For me, I always wondered why people do these small gestures under certain circumstances, and this book definitely answered most of them. Now, I feel I can talk to people fully understanding what to expect and how to change conversations, or help change an atmosphere of things get tense. Worth every minute of my time listening to this. Will definitely listen to this many more times.

Just like a Procrastinator

The book overall was alright, it felt like talking to a person giving their personal advice. It is written in a very formal tone and definitely somewhat engaging. If you're a person looking for quick solution and don't like listening to scientific facts and biographies of famous people, this book could be for you. A lot of short quotes are used seemlessly throughout the book, but there are almost no references of resources he has researched.
