Very powerful ending. It started slow but the story progresses faster and faster towards a strong conclusion. I would recommend reading the Bobiverse series first to get a number of small references.

The novel ended by leaving the listener with some tantalizing details to consider. The story overall is very good. for the most part the narrator does a great job, the only issue is his range is a bit limited resulting in a number sounding the same.

while waiting for the sequel I Plan on picking up the short story about Auri. can't wait for the sequel.

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

This book was truly mesmerizing. The narrator did a fantastic job. His boonies accent was hilarious. The story is gripping, and ends on a very ominous note. Time to hop into book 2.

I bought this book on a whim since I had a few credits to spend. Was pleasantly surprised to find the book was actually quite remarkable. The character development of the two girls is very well done. While the narrator is quite good, he used the same, or nearly the same, voice for multiple characters. It would have been nice to see a greater range of voices.

Looking forward to the sequel.

The narration is still amazing.

The story of the sands was refreshing break from the forests and plains of the first two novels in the series. It felt a bit amateurish though the way parts of the story were written, in particular his reasoning for blaming the elf princess. The side characters though really help the story come to life. They are all quite multi dimensional and no one does anything that seems unusual for their character type. #Audible1

If you enjoyed the first book then you'll enjoy this one as well, I certainly did. If you weren't a big fan though of book one then this work will not convince you. The narration is still on point and the story does evolve in some interesting directions but it's all just more of the same. Nothing was unexpected, nothing was surprising, and the main character is just getting closer and closer to great power. #Audible1

The story has a unique premise for a litrpg novel, setting it apart from other works like Eden's Gate or Sword Art. The author writes the main character Richter with a very cavalier style that is addicting to listen to. The narrator though is what makes me prefer the audiobook to the ebook, his performance is stellar and sound effects are well used.

After accepting the fact that he will never know his old reality again, Gunnar looks forward toward building a new life inside Eden's Gate. It's time to form a guild, gather resources, and earn the acceptance of the Edgewood inhabitants. If only things were that easy. The dark elves aren't thrilled about having humans in Edgewood, the mine isn't vacant, and you can't form a guild without at least a few guild mates.

It was more of the first but with even more polish and some fantastic world building. Gunner wasn't checking his stat screen nearly as much as the original, thank God, but it is still a bit annoying hearing the narrator read everything out. Perhaps if he only read the important stays relative to the current situation it would be more bearable.

The book ended with quite a cliffhanger that made me immediately buy book 3. Good read.

No more reality TV. Finally, he's in a place where he can call home, a place with people he can call friends. The book is quite exciting, and the main character and his decisions are quite easy to identify with and support. This was my first litrpg and I'm pleasantly surprised. The only thing that was pretty annoying was the narrator continuously reading off Gunners stat page, especially later on when it got fairly long.

Would definetly recommend.
