Confusing yet still captivating.

The tale takes you in. But I found it a lot of times hard to keep up with the plot. I found all the characters and locations names pretty confusing to keep straight because their names sound the same. I finally went online and found a site that had a character map. Some characters have 3 different names. I started to wonder if I would have done better with a copy that I could physically read. That way when I was confused I could reread and reference to help keep all characters and the lands & times straight. Yet amid all my struggles I kept listening to find out what was coming next.
A Game of Thrones
- A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 1
- Auteur(s): George R. R. Martin
- Narrateur(s): Roy Dotrice
- Durée: 33 h et 46 min
- Version intégrale
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....
better then the show

My time was well spent. I am a fan of the HBO series but listening to the story has more than enhanced my experience of this tale.
