The outcast youth Ishmael, succumbing to wanderlust during a dreary New England autumn, signs up for passage aboard a whaling ship. The Pequod sails under the command of the one-legged Captain Ahab, who has set himself on a monomaniacal quest to capture the cunning white whale that robbed him of his leg: Moby-Dick. Capturing life on the sea with robust realism, Melville details the adventures of the colorful crew aboard the ship as Ahab pursues his crusade of revenge, heedless of all cost.

It is a classic for a reason, actually many reasons! I learned a lot about the whaling industry and the characters were amazing.

The Winter Queen of Faerie has manipulated Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden into accepting a case to solve a murder and stop a war between the courts of Summer and Winter that could have literally earth shattering consequences. His own soul is up for grabs. Dresden must dig deep to discover that at time a willingness to accept a little help from your friends, be they a cub pack of werewolves, old loves in sheep's clothing, or a battalion of pizza loving dewdrop fairies, is a very good thing.

The narrator is the perfect pick for the character. He sounds like an old radio show private eye with so much more depth and interesting personality! Love this series!!

My brothers read Louis L'Amour when I was young. I thought they were just dreary westerns that had no real depth to them. This book is filled with intrigue, history, mystery and the excitement of new discoveries. I did not expect the background of the Sacketts to start out in England. Looking forward to the next novel!

All good things must come to an end, Constant Listener, and not even Stephen King can write a story that goes on forever. The tale of Roland Deschain's relentless quest for the Dark Tower has, the author fears, sorely tried the patience of those who have followed it from its earliest chapters. But attend to it a while longer, if it pleases you, for this volume is the last, and often the last things are best.

This recording has many glitches/audio problems. Would have enjoyed it more if it didn't have so many problems with a digital skip or scratch noise.
