One of things I like about Jojo Moyes is her ability to include lots of details that draw you in without slowing the pace of the story.

I'm not a huge fan of memoirs, but this was an interesting story and well narrated.

I love Amor Towes and this is a good story. It is full of detail like his other books, which keeps things moving at a good pace, but because the same story is being told concurrently by different characters, it's easy to miss things. It wasn't my favourite Towes book, but still a masterpiece.

This is an exceptional story and I think I would have appreciated it more if I had read the book, rather than listen to this narrator. I will not deny that there are a lot of characters in this story, many with different accents; however this narrator failed to master the accents effectively or to bring many of the characters to life. I would still recommend this book, but if you are European, be prepared to get irritated!

Lost interest towards the end

This is well written and narrated and I enjoyed listening; however I found my mind wandering in the last couple of hours because by that point I knew how it was going to end.

Like all his books, well written and brilliantly narrated by Bower. Lots of familiar themes. Boxing, Judaism, Nazis

I think this is a well written book and well narrated, but the story didn't capture me enough to earn 5 stars. I can understand the appeal to Irish Americans wanting to learn some personal history, though.

I admit I hesitated to download this book because a story about a library didn't sound very interesting. I'm pleased to say the story was highly engaging, with its sassy characters and dry wit. The narrator did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life.

This is an enjoyable and perceptive commentary on our relationship with gardens, nature and landscape design.

I listened to the end, but was relieved when it was over because I was bored. The narration is somewhat flat and uninteresting and the story a bit predictable.
