Great presentation, easy to listen to an understand, but really the content is out of date. It sounded like it was from the late 90s or 00s. Still worth a listen if you’ve never listened to a high level overview like this. It’s a great place to start.

A very good if outdated listen

Everything about this is good, speaker, speaking, information, presentation, everything except that it's now 20 or more years out of date. Science moves quickly, now more than ever, so science 20 years ago feels quite dated. I would say 90% of the information still holds but it can feel antiquated at times. There are even errors in knowledge that pop up from time to time simply because time goes on and we learn new things and learn some past things were wrong. Still, all in all, this is worth a listen. It will help give you a great perspective on science over the ages.

It can be fascinating but also a slog

Very interesting listen on early ideas of dreams. By the end it’s quite a slog though. Worth a listen at least once though to understand Freud a little bit more.

Decent listen, nothing really new or novel I would say. Unfortunately comes off in large part like a self help book. I wish he didn’t do a follow up and just wish he took a chance on something completely different.

Certainly hope he doesn’t try for another rules book because he has a total of 48.

Worth a listen for fans perhaps but passable and I’d just recommend the original 12 Rules For Life.

This would be absolutely a great deal 5/5 except for the extremely perturbing dramatic voicing of different characters in the stories. The narrator tries to do different character voices that, who knows, may or may not fit the characters, but nonetheless are quite grating, anyway. It just would've been better to read with a consistent, regular, narrator voice. Overall worth it to listen to once but I don't think I'd listen again due to the voicing. When not being dramatic the reading is fine, no problem, pleasant reading voice, no unwanted pauses or hiccups, etc.
