It was really good until suddenly I couldn't stand the main character. He redeemed himself a little, but I ended the book still not liking him and I'm not sure if that was the writer's intention of how you should feel at the end.

It started out fine, but then all the needless f bombs. Then all the extremely explicit sex scenes. The narrator was good but she sounded like someone's Grandma reading sex. Made me cringe. And then Red became a whiny little girl. Definitely not sexy!

Rushed ending

I really enjoyed the whole book, until the end. Unlike the rest of the book, the end felt wrong for the story and rushed to fit into a time frame or something.

The writing was poetic, and the story was hopeful for mankind. The morose essence in the story still prevailed. The suicides were never fully explained except with the overall hopelessness of the life. I have very mixed feelings about this book and encourage others to read it. I think it would provoke good discussions in a book group.

Really enjoyed this book,. Some unexpected twists, and good suspense. It had a very good flow so it made you want to keep listening. Totally recommend!

The concept was so interesting! And the result of how power corrupts no matter which gender has it. (not a spoiler exactly) The discussion at the end from the 2 novelists was fascinating to me. I was completely caught up in the whole story. Several discussion points, gender roles, power, remaking yourself into something, the power of trauma in an individual and how it affects their lives as they grow and change. I also need to mention the narrator. One word, amazing! She really brought the characters to life. Definitely a recommendation to read/listen.

There was some really good humour parts, but overall a lot of characters and because the narrator didn’t change her way of talking at all, it ended up pretty confusing.

I enjoyed the story very much. and the narr5was excellent. The only reason it didn't get the full 5 stars was because I could figure out who the psycho was really early so that was disappointing, but i still enjoyed the book.

From all the reviews I really thought I would like it. Just terrible. No real story, just gross scene after gross scene.

Got a bit overdone and too convoluted near the end. Also ended way to abruptly. Over all though I enjoyed it.
