this book is an account of Huxley's ideas regarding psychedelic drugs; their effects and uses to humanity. dispute the books age it is still relevant as this topic was tabo for so many years so the science has not progressed far, but I think his philosophies are much more timeless than the few scientific observation and ideas put forward.

neil gaiman does an excellent job of putting these stories into fairly colloquial English without tarnishing the feel of the mythology. he also does a wonderful job of narrating the book, it feels as if a campfire story is being told to you. I would defiantly recommend this book in audio format because of the oral tradition of mythology which gaiman does an excellent job of harnessing.

Great story, great narrator

Bit dry at some points but makes up for it, history nerds will love it!
