I finished this book three days ago and I can't stop thinking about it. There is so much to unpack here, from Dante, to her own experiences, to her examples from her clients. I plan to listen again and again and I search for my own Way of Integrity. Thank you so much Martha Beck for this amazing book!

really life-changing stuff in here!

There is something to take away from each of the coaching sessions here, if not for you, then to better understand someone you love. Mel tells UT like it is and makes it so easy to see why we are the way we are and react the way we do over and over again. I highly recommend downloading the workbook too, it was very helpful. Unfortunately I couldn't find the videos that are supposed to accompany it however.

Gotta love Gail's no-nonsense style!

Some valid points in here - a great way to kick your own pants into cutting your debt, spending less, and saving more. Sometimes, however, she assumes that you are stupid (which I guess some people are) - racking up debt on credit cards at astronomical rates and not paying it off in full every month. I think she could have gone more into the way credit cards can be used responsibly, as well as methods for shifting your credit card debt, if you have any, to much-cheaper lines of credit to be paid off. I also don't agree with saving at a low rate of interest when you have debt at a higher rate of interest that remains to be paid off. Maybe it makes you feel good psychologically to have money in a savings account, but if that money earns 1.25% per year and you're paying 5% on your line of credit, it is just plain mathematically foolish to do so.

Still, I enjoyed her no-nonsense style and there are a few tips in here that I will use to cut down on unnecessary spending and increasing saving.

I'd read mixed reviews of this book before listening, but I was intrigued by the premise: what would Hillary Rodham have become if she had refused Bill Clinton's third marriage proposal? Author Curtis Sittenfeld offers us a smart, relatable narrator in Hillary, striking the right balance throughout between her ambition in her career and her desires as a woman (including many sex scenes, which some reviewers were squeamish about, but which to me did not seem all that graphic).

Perhaps it was because the whole thing is wonderfully narrated by Carrington Macduffie, whose voices for Bill, Donald Trump (yes he's in here) and many others really make the storytelling come alive. Her "normal" voice as Hillary is warm and mature, and makes this whole what-if fantasy more realistic and believable than it might be if read on the page.

I was sad as I saw the minutes ticking down - I didn't want this book to end. Highly recommended - a thoroughly enjoyable experience!

Enjoyed the book, but I found that the voice of the reader was less mature than that of the author. Sometimes it was distracting and took away from the key messages of the book, which were in fact quite helpful.

very inspiring, I'll listen to this one over and

I listened to this twice through and was very inspired. I'm sure I will listen to it again when I feel I need a reminder of how to come back into alignment with the Universe. Thanks Gabby for all that you do!

beautifully read. The story itself was sometimes hard to follow, but the narrator really made the characters come alive.

I enjoyed the book, the plot lagged a bit in the middle but it was otherwise good. But the performance by Blair Brown was really what made this a great experience for me. she was terrific! I will miss hearing her "Vivian" recounting her life story. loved it.

I don't know if I would have enjoyed this book as much if I'd read it rather than listened. Trevor Noah's spirited reading, his mastery of all the African languages and accents, and of course his personal connection to the stories made it entertaining from start to finish.

I thought this was a good book, a lot of common sense but it was shared in a warm and relatable way. I wish I had read/listened to this book when I was in my 20s. I'm about 12 yrs older than the author so I've learned most of these life lessons on my own already, but it was good to hear them again.
