good story but voice acting needed help
Évalué le: 2020-04-03
I had a hard time keeping interest in this book due to trying to get used to the narrator. Prior to this book, I just finished the Sharpe series read by Rupert Farley. So my expectations were high. Brand doesn't do the voice acting as well but still reads the story well. Audiobook... not an audio book performance.
Still a good story and I just downloaded the next book in the series.

The Eagle and the Wolves is the gripping fourth novel in Simon Scarrow's best-selling Eagles of the Empire series. Perfect for fans of Bernard Cornwell. It's AD 44, and Vespasian and the Second Legion are forging ahead in their campaign to seize the southwest of Britain. Macro and newly appointed centurion Cato are ordered to provide Verica, ruler of the Atrebatans, with an army.
