This book is an excellent way to learn.

It's been over 16 years since I graduated from high school. As an English speaking Canadian, we were required to take French through school.

I am planning my first trip to Europe in 2019, specifically France so I have been looking into relearning the language.

I'm a busy entrepreneur so I don't find that I have a lot of time to sit in class to brush up on my skills, so this audible recording is a perfect solution. I'm able to take it with me on the go and brush up on my skills while I travel for work between cities.

Each sentence is explained clearly and while this audible book is simple, it explains the basics of French very well.

If you are diligent in your study, you will make great progress and this book is an excellent way to learn.

useful and effective for beginners

I found this book very organized and useful. Each chapter is organized in a manner that you can learn important verbs and nouns. The pronunciation is very clear. The length and organization of the chapters gave me motivation for learning this language without being bored

its okay

the stories are fine but the translations at the end drive me nuts. the English translation is often pronounced incorrectly and is said with such a heavy french accent that you're left saying "what did she just say!??? hurt, hand or held?" I have no idea.

Very Helpful Book!

I  really learnt a lot from this book. I haven't had the opportunity to practice my French in quite a while since I left college. This is a perfect refresher course for me. I like the way it covered tenses, simple words as well as conjugation. Great read!

Excellent!

The stories are around one minute long, they're followed by a vocabulary section, and the PDF contains all the conversations and vocabulary with english translation.
They are simple enough and about daily subjects, kind of like a friend telling you about their day.
The narrator speaks clearly, and at a natural french speed, so sometimes I just listened at a slightly slower speed.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone learning french!

Very resourceful tool

After studying french for 4 years in high schoo including AP French I graduated feeling almost fluent. Sadly over the years since then I have lost those skills due to lack of practice speaking and reading in French.I wanted to learn again but dind't have the time to go take a class, nor did I know what level I would be in as I still knew some French but not where I used to be. This audio book was the perfect tool for me to re-learn French. I quickly remembered some phrases after hearing them and learned new ones. I aprreciated that it starts out with more basic words/phrases and then gets a little more advanced as you continue through the book. The repetition was helpful as that's how I memorize things in general is by repeating them. I highly reccommend this book for anyone wanting to learn French or re-learn it.

Great For Beginners!

This is a great audio book for beginners and intermediates. I took French in high school and will continue to take it in college. This is great for people that are just getting to learn French, or people that already know French and want to practice it. I really liked how it taught you vocabulary and phrases and would repeat it several times. It is a great way to study and practice French. The speakers spoke very clearly. I was able understand everything perfectly in both English and French. I also liked that the speakers were not speaking too quickly, but at a nice pace where I could keep up, and comprehend what they were talking about. I would highly recommend tis audiobook to anyone who wants to learn French or just practice it.

Very captivating.

This book is very captivating and much more interesting than just memorizing vocabulary and conjunctions. I am absorbing the language much faster and more fluently than when I just memorized vocabulary and verb conjunctions.

This is a fantastic tool for improving your French

This is a fantastic tool for improving your French on any level. While I consider myself "almost fluent" in French I was entertained and enlightened by this material. I reaffirmed what I already knew and discovered a few surprises as well as correcting a few faux pas I had been making for years. Would love to see an intermediate or advanced level of this book.

Awful, not for begginers

I took French in high school and have been studying it sparingly for years. I am easily a beginner to French but I definitely am not a complete newcomer to it. This book in no way does what it's description says it should. They dont adequately translate the story to English, and the little definitions they give seem out of order. they read you the story real fast, then pick like 15 words or phrases afterword's and give you loose definitions as if somehow the listener was supposed to retroactively fill in the blanks and understand the story.. after about the third short story I realized that, apart from picking out all the words I already knew, I couldn't follow the stories at all. And the authors make zero attempt to fill you in afterwards by the way. Of course, I struggled because I dont understand enough French but its advertised to "complete beginners", but id have to disagree.
