Description

Such a good book! Couldnt stop listening!!

It was amazing! Couldnt stop listening to this!! One of my favourites so far!! I've watched Joey forever on YouTube and NEVER thought his books would be so amazing!! Only regret is I didnt look into this series earlier!!

Lacking

I enjoy dystopia stories, because they let me escape from the real world. This one did not hit the mark for me. I know it is a young adult story so sometimes the stories aren’t as “deep” but I have found we have some great young adult authors around, so I like to give them a shot. This one seemed like it was written for a 14 year old. I found the main character, Rowan, to be overly dramatic about pointless things quit a few times throughout the story. Her inner dialect was boring and again dramatic/pointless, Let’s get on with the story! Although, maybe 14 year old girls would relate to Rowan better.

I did like the way she set up the community set up/distinction of “social/economic classes”. I also liked how the community had a very heavy reliance on technology that provided an additional obstacle for Rowan and her friends.

I didn’t like the ending... and over all I don’t think I would recommend it to my adult friends but maybe younger family.
